In you Lord I put my trust...

This year God told me would be difficult, that it would test and stretch me to my very end, and then and only then could He start to begin in my life. I had restrained many things in my life from Him, though all the while I went to church and sang the song....

This is my desire
To honor You
Lord with all my heart
I worship You
All I have within me
I give You praise
All that I adore is in You

Lord, I give You my heart
I give You my soul

I live for You alone
Every Breath I take
Every moment I'm awake
Lord, have Your way in me

Ever think about what we are actually singing? What if we couldn't lie in worship? What song would we be able to sing? How many times have we given God false declarations without a second thought? I have been thinking...what have I actually given God out of all those songs I have sung? Did I live for Him alone? Have I given Him my soul or my heart? It's time we put our actions where our mouths are.
A lot of things this year is causing me to have to FULLY rely on God and trust in Him, because they are beyond what I can do alone. Things regarding my family, finances, school, work, relationships, and friends. I was told once "Nikki you can't save the world, it's impossible" But I have the savior of the world living inside of me, that is Jesus Christ, NOTHING is impossible, and with this savior I can do ALL things! (Philippians 4:13)

Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You.

For You are my hope; O Lord God, You are my trust from my youth and the source of my confidence.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 3:5-6

A scripture that hit me in a different way not too long ago, really started to make me
realize how much more simple life could be if we just listened to what it is saying...

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."
-Proverbs 9:10
There it is, simple is it not? well lately I have been digging deeper into the word and I have been able to make decisions that could only come from having a wisdom beyond my age...I came to conclusions some do not come to until much later on in life yet I have been able to discover them at a very young age, I read this verse and it just hit me, every time I draw closer to God and realize how GREAT, AWESOME, and MIGHTY He is, and I truly begin to seek after things above I obtain wisdom from above. He gives me understanding, and interprets scripture to me that beforehand had boggled me, it is not me but God! So the next time you are really stuck with a situation that is beyond you, check how much you are connecting with the Lord, do you need to start seeking after Him again? Have you fallen from where you should be? Begin to learn what it is to truly fear Him, and learn from Him, and His ways, by reading The Word!

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. - James 1:5

The LORD is the giver of ALL wisdom, He gives understanding, and through HIM alone is your source of love, joy, peace, strength, hope, and boldness! He cannot give you these things apart from Him, for they do not exist.

Things to take from this message:

1. Think about what you are saying in worship. Put your actions where your mouth is.

2. With Jesus Christ you can do ALL things.

3. The savior of the World is living inside you, therefore saving the world is not impossible.

4. Trust in God

5. The Lord is your source of wisdom and fearing Him is the beginning of wisdom, and seeking His face, and searching His word brings understanding.

6. Ask the Lord for wisdom

7. The Lord is your source for love, joy, peace, boldness, hope, and strength! Apart from Him there is nothing.
